Description

Hi All,

I can import PDF's i have created using PDFinc however the minute i try and use MS word and safe it as a PDF through a PDF converter it does then not allow me to use this PDF. Is it because i am using Word 2007 or perhaps because i havent used adobe distiller. Any help would be great.

The messages i get are:

'Could not load DLL procedure zlib1.dll. (3258)'
'**c:\OpenEdge\WRk\Inv-12-0.txt was not found. (293)'
'**c:\OpenEdge\WRk\Inv-17-0.txt was not found. (293)'
'**c:\OpenEdge\WRk\Inv1.txt was not found. (293)'

I have tried creating these files in this directory but it seems to delete them as soon as i run the procedure.

Thanks,

Scott

Use PDF Creator to "print" your Word document to to PDF. (PDF Creator is a free download from Sourceforge) - go through the settings and set all the security/encription options off. The resulting PDF loads perfectly into PDFInclude, but not if it contains an embedded jpeg - you have to load that separately. Of course I might be wrong about the jpeg - any advice welcome. I have used Word and Excel templates (2007) created by PDF Creator successfully - stay away from the Microsoft PDF creation ("print") option.

Stay away from Micro.... Oops.

'Could not load DLL procedure zlib1.dll. (3258)'

copy zlib1.dll to your windows or windows\system32 directory.

'**c:\OpenEdge\WRk\Inv-12-0.txt was not found. (293)'
'**c:\OpenEdge\WRk\Inv-17-0.txt was not found. (293)'

MS Office generated pdfs are not well supported. Use the pdf export functionality of OpenOffice.org instead, and even embedded pictures or fonts will work well with pdfinclude.

I have now downloaded and exported using open office just to test this i used 'hello world'. It does not seem to like the font even though i have changed it to courier. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your initial replies!

Hi Again,

I have overcome this problem with the fonts. However how do i get around multiple pages? do i have to create each page individually as a PDF then load it in seperately?

Thanks again!
